This past week has felt like a sprint with trying to finish the Original Work and prepare for the upcoming Research Showcase on the 16th. The search for a mentor is ongoing and two professionals have been contacted for interviews. The Original Work was completed before the due date but it could have been completed earlier if time management would have been more effective. For the rest of the year, and in the next few weeks, the focus needs to be on finding a mentor and working on the Final Product to avoid problems that arose with the Original Work.
The time management and work ethic were higher this week due to the upcoming due date for the Original Work; however, work ethic was much higher than time management. More often than not work was pushed off until the later hours in the night which meant that the work was not very well thought out or productive and edits had to be made the next day. With the Final Product, work needs to be completed earlier in the day to promote efficiency and productivity.
Goals for the next week include doing well at research showcase, completing assessment 12, working further on the final product, and continuing the mentor search. Professionals who had not responded will be followed up with to attempt to schedule an interview. Also Scratch will continue to be used to build a prototype for the future application. After this week a celebration is much needed for the first semester of ISM is officially over.
