2/4 - 2/10

This past week of ISM was quite eventful. The product proposal and calendar were due, an interview was conducted, and there was a lot of preparation done for the semester presentation. The product proposal and calendar truly helped put the whole project in perspective and more lessons of Swift were completed to help with growth toward the Final Product. The interview was very successful and a lot was learned about the career of a nurse practitioner and their role in an ICU setting. Additionally, the interviewee agreed to be my mentor, and a lot of excitement encompasses the future of the mentor mentee relationship that will be established. The semester presentation was very nerve wracking due to a lack of a mentor and overall unsureness on what to talk about. Additionally, this presentation is the longest one ever given so there was more anxiety surrounding the idea of talking for such a long time.

The work ethic and time management were not as high with a lot of procrastination present throughout the week. More lessons of Swift could have been completed, and the product proposal could have been completed sooner. Although there was procrastination, the work that went into the tasks were highly productive and efficient. In the coming months, in order to complete the Final Product, there needs to be overall less procrastination and higher work ethic.

For next week, goals include completing Assessment 15, finalizing my mentorship, and completing multiple lessons of Swift. The assessment will be about last week’s interview and should be completed efficiently. The code lessons will need to be completed in a higher amount than last week so that progress can stay on track to build a mobile application. As for the mentorship, currently I am waiting on confirmation and paperwork so that will be monitored closely.
