This past week of ISM was quite a bit different than those in the past. There was no assessment due, providing extra time to conduct research and creating a less stressful week overall. Most goals set were reached; however, there has been some difficulty in finding articles on specific surgeries such as a cardiac catheter procedure. Most articles provide a general overview over surgeries and that is not what is needed in order to complete a research assessment over a procedure. What is needed for advanced learning is an article covering specifics of the surgery on a step-by-step basis, and such articles are difficult to find on normal databases.
As mentioned before, due to the absence of a research assessment, managing time and work ethic were higher than normal. There were multiple goals to reach and assignments to complete such as finalizing the professional resume and revising previous assessments. The assignments were completed not only on time but ahead of time due to better time management and overall work ethic. As well as completing assignments due last weeks, assignments due in future weeks were started. Getting ahead on assignments will help in managing stress and time in the future weeks.
In hopes of next week being as successful as the last, continuation of future assignments due and writing research assessment four will be completed. Through continuing the trends associated with time management and work ethic in the past couple of weeks, overall success rates should be higher both grade wise and completion rate wise. Those two aspects are crucial to staying on top of the assignments for each week and not falling behind.
